Dedicating time out of the year to deep clean your home is such a hack within itself. If you know people who never truly deep clean their house, you know their home is probably not as sparkling clean as someone who takes the time to clean their space.
Beyond the obvious benefits cleaning your home can bring, deep cleaning your home is a great way to declutter your brain and mental headspace. Try it out!
Spring is just around the corner! Let’s freshen up your home with these top spring cleaning hacks.
This post is all about spring cleaning.
Spring Cleaning Tips
Frequency:
First of all, deep cleaning doesn’t have to happen weekly. Let’s clear this up right away. If you’ve waited until the spring or summertime to dive into those rooms or closets you avoid throughout the year, you are definitely not alone!
Rest assured, there is someone out there who is not even cleaning at all.
If you keep your place clean regularly, then you only need to truly deep clean once a month or maybe once every few months- hence the spring cleaning checklist that exists!
No Time:
Spring cleaning doesn’t have to take an entire day. If you know you hate cleaning, don’t dedicate so much time to it each day.
You should split up several cleaning tasks and spread them throughout the week or your day. You are sure to get everything, if not more, done than you usually do.
Spring Cleaning Products:
Now, I won’t waste your time or bore you with cleaning supplies that you may or may not have. I will, however, give you a very basic spring cleaning list of products.
1. Microfiber Cleaning Cloths
If you’ve never been properly taught how to clean, then you may not know the purpose of microfiber cleaning cloths.
I spent the majority of my cleaning life using either paper towels, kitchen towels, or even bath towels- gross!
The purpose of these cleaning cloths is to clean surfaces without leaving streaks behind. It helps save the planet by minimizing the number of paper towels being wasted. These towels trap more dirt and debris than your everyday paper towel.

2. Broom and Dustpan
When cleaning the floors of your home, use a broom to catch those hard-to-reach areas around your home. I don’t always sweep the floors, but I do before mopping and on spot cleaning days.
Most people don’t need to be told to buy a broom, but it’s on the list because 1. this is a nice broom and dustpan duo and 2. just because!
Get you this broom and dustpan duo from Amazon here!
3. Deep Clean Brush Set
Clean those areas that are hard to reach by using these brushes. I find these brushes to be the most helpful when cleaning my sinks in both the kitchen and the bathroom.
If you have a garbage disposal in your kitchen, using a brush to scrub the area around the rim of the drain is so key!
You’ll notice a big difference right away!
4. Microfiber Spin Mop
Clean floors are a game changer! Gone are the difficult days of shopping and having to wring out mops by hand.
Use a simple setup like this and easily clean your home. You’ll notice how much your floors shine after the first clean!
Get your own mop and bucket from Amazon here.
5. Feather Duster
Even if you are a really clean person, there’s nothing you can do to stop the dust bunnies from collecting on top of the ceiling fans or the spiders from making spider webs in the far corners.
Freshen up your space in every corner by REACHING every corner!
6. Disposable Gloves
Wearing protective gloves is extremely important! First of all, most cleaning supplies contain a lot of toxic chemicals. Protect yourself by using protective gloves.
You’ll find having disposable gloves to come in handy! It’ll stop you from having to wash your hands in between every single thing. You can just discard the gloves.
Get disposable gloves from Amazon here.
7. All-Purpose Cleaner
Feel free to use any multi-purpose cleaner of your choice! Just make sure an all-purpose cleaner is on your spring cleaning list.
This cleaner can be used in the kitchen, bathroom, or bedroom. It is unlike the next cleaner that’s only meant to be used in toilets.

8. Toilet Bowl Cleaner
Your bathroom is definitely a room that should be on a weekly cleaning rotation. This area of your home gets a lot of attention from both you and your guests.
