1. Try Something New | Self-Improvement
Now, you reading a post like this lets me know that you are looking for a change. Start by trying to implement a lot of the ideas you are currently reading.
Being willing to do something out of your comfort zone will lead to more confidence and courage.
2. Take Care of Yourself | Self Improvement
Before you can help anybody else, you must help yourself first. It’s not selfish to put your needs at the forefront of what you do. In the end, you’re all you really have.
You have to sleep with your thoughts at night so be sure to take care of yourself by exercising, eating healthy (which is something I need to work on), and taking care of your mind.
3. Make Sleep a Priority
Do you go to bed at the same time every night? Do you wake up at the same time every morning? Your sleeping patterns can really determine A LOT in regard to your mood, productivity, and how you treat others.
It’s extremely important to get enough hours of sleep every night. This is pretty difficult for me personally because I am a night owl.
I have to wake up extremely early to get work done before I head to my full-time job, but no matter what time I wake up, I can always stay up late at night.
My goal for the next month is to prioritize sleeping!

4. Don’t Make Excuses | Self-Improvement
We could easily spend all day making excuses for why things didn’t get done or why our life is the way it is. Just stop making excuses and execute a plan!
Seriously, you have got to speak more positivity into your life and do what you need to do to make the most of your life.
5. Practice Forgiveness
Forgive people who have hurt you. Forgive yourself for letting yourself down in any aspect of your life.
I’m not going to lie, it is really hard to forgive people who have done you so wrong, but just think, while they are out continuing to their lives, you are somewhere still hurt about something they are not even thinking about.
And while we like to think, “they definitely remember how much they’ve hurt me” the truth is they are probably not even thinking about you.
It really sucks! Yes, there are truly terrible people in the world who hurt amazing people. I don’t understand! Don’t let it stop you from being the bigger person though.
6. Be Honest and Direct | Self-Improvement
Don’t you really like honest people?! Now ask yourself, are you an honest person? I mean really. Do you always say how you are feeling or what you are thinking?
While some things are better left unsaid, it’s important to always be honest and upfront with people. Practice communicating effectively with others and you are bound to receive lots of opportunities and things that you otherwise would not receive.
Honestly is a valuable quality and people really like having honest people on their team. Try it out and watch what happens!

7. Be Helpful
You don’t always have to bend over backward for people, but try lending a hand to someone in need. I promise you it’ll take you far in life,
There’s a very high chance that you’ll run into the people you’ve helped again in your life. If you’ve helped them, they wouldn’t hesitate to help you.
It’s just good karma!
8. Greet Everyone You Meet | Self-Improvement
Okay, so I’m an introvert. There are times when I really hate talking to people. I would prefer to just work alone and physically be alone at times. However, it’s important to socialize with people, and simply greeting someone is easy!
You are automatically viewed as a nice person and it doesn’t really take much effort to say, “Hello!” or “Hi! How are you?”
9. Say No
Now, this is really important! It’s also much easier said than done! If you are someone who doesn’t like to potentially upset people or like to keep the peace, then telling someone no is extremely difficult to do.
It takes a lot of confidence to simply say, “No.”, BUT, saying no to people helps set boundaries for yourself and for those around you. Say no to things that don’t matter so you can say yes to things that do.
Don’t be a pushover. People pick up on the people who always say “yes” and surely take advantage. Try not to fall into that category of being a people pleaser.
10. Use Positive Self-Talk | Self-Improvement
Always tell yourself how proud you are of all of your accomplishments and achievements. Seriously! It sounds like it’s extra, but it really does matter.
Even simply telling yourself, “Self (Your Name), I love you.” can go a long way! Try starting your morning off with positive self-talk and see how much it improves your mood and boosts your self-confidence!
11. Use Your Strengths
Do you know what your strengths are? In order for you to use your strengths, you must know your strengths.
Spend time getting to know yourself and find out what are the things that you are good at. What can you do with little effort to achieve great results?
What do people compliment you on? Are you funny? Super smart? Honest? Whatever it may be, use these tools to your advantage.

Are you someone’s cheerleader? Supporting others will only lead to them supporting you in return. Being there for a person, as mentioned before, will only help boost your morale and encourage people to give you that same treatment.
Think about the Golden Rule: Treat others the way you want to be treated. If you find that you are supporting others and doing your part in their life, it’ll directly improve your own life.
