Improving your self awareness in this situation could mean that you don’t talk to your friend until after doing what you need/want to do because you are *aware* that it annoys you, which makes you become short-tempered with your friend, which aids in you resenting the days when your friend calls, which causes you to be in an irritated mood all day…
