Let’s talk about how to step into main character energy. Having this energy gives you confidence to go out and be exactly who you desire to be.
Character has the word ‘actor’ attached to it. Sometimes you may need to fake it until you make it. You may need to act like the person you want to become before actually becoming that person.
Here are 3 easy steps to become the main character.
1. Write Your Vision and Make It Plain
- What is your vision for your ideal self? Write it down now!
- What does this person wear?
- Where do they hangout?
- How do they dress?
- What are they known for?
Get specific! Make your sentences short. Sometimes doing too much makes it too far fetched.
Give yourself the freedom to create the character you desire to be.
Need inspiration? Pinterest will be your best friend. Look up the type of aesthetic you desire. If you want to be a “boss babe”, look up ‘boss babe aesthetic’ on Pinterest and you’ll be flooded with pictures and quotes of that aesthetic.
Sometimes we don’t really know who we want to be. That’s okay. Go look for inspiration and come back to your list and begin scripting the person you want to be.
I recommend writing a list of 100 things you want to achieve based on what your new character would achieve.
Read this list every morning and every night and watch how many things you end up achieving in one year.
I suggest choosing at least 3 goals to work toward every day. They can be different everyday. You’ll reach more goals that way.
2. Your Opinion Is The Most Important Opinion
Don’t look for validation in others. Keep your goals to yourself until you achieve them. Your opinion matters more, so if someone has anything negative to say, let it roll off your shoulder.
Who cares about what they think? This could be your friends or family members. Don’t give them power over you. This is your book. This is your story. You decide.
When making decisions, look within. Check with yourself before you even think about others. They don’t have to live your life, but you do. Enjoy it!
3. Believe In Yourself Like Your Life Depends On It
Your life does depend on your belief in yourself. If you know who you are, by only checking in with yourself and your own thoughts, you’ll start to trust your abilities more.
Take inventory of your life and realize all of the things you have accomplished already.
When you set out to do anything, believe in yourself and trust that it’ll get done. You can do anything you set your mind to. Always check in with yourself first.
When you work towards a goal, believe that it is already done. If you believe it then it is facts. Act as if you are already the person you desire to be. You already have done the thing you wish to do. Believe in yourself. Your life depends on it!
