You may be thinking, “well obviously these are powerful women, but I’m a mother of 3 and I don’t have time to…” or “I’m a stay-at-home mom”.
Well did you know that 75% of mothers with children under the age of 18 work full-time?
According to The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, mothers are the primary or sole earners in 40% of households with children under the age of 18. What’s crazy is in 1960, that number was only 11%.
Between 1997-2014 the total number of women-owned businesses in the U.S. increased by 68%.

If you don’t know what you are aiming for, are you ever going to hit your target? It is very important for you to create a list of long-term and short-term goals to aim for.
It’s the difference between those who let the day lead them and those who lead their day. Be in charge of your life by setting goals.

2. Become a Morning Person
Now, as a woman who is not a morning person, this has been difficult for me to truly implement into my life. I am trying though! It starts by having a stellar morning routine.
There are ways to change your habits to become a morning person. If successful people feel like this is important, then maybe we should take a closer look at it.

3. Make Exercise a Priority
Do you exercise daily? There is a ton of research out that explains the importance of exercising daily.
I’ve learned that exercising daily doesn’t have to be at the gym, you don’t have to go for a run. Although those are obvious ways you can workout, there is another one that’s become popular.
Yoga. There are several forms a yoga exercises you can do. You can go to a yoga studio, or you can do it from the comfort of your home via Youtube.
Another option is going for a long walk. As long as you are moving your body it counts as exercise.
4. Constantly Reads and Learns
Learning doesn’t stop once you graduate from school. Successful people are always striving to learn new things and keep their brains working. Reading books is really good for the development of your brain.
There are all sorts of books you can read. You can read self-help books, finance books, or articles online.

5. Makes Time for Herself | Habits of successful women
I feel like most people don’t think this is important. Trust me, it really is! I’ve even had to learn this the hard way. It’s something that I’m still working on.
If you consider yourself to be a people-pleaser then this is hard to implement in your life. You could be sick, but you’d still go out and do things you don’t want to do just to keep the peace.
It’s never worth it in the end.
Make time for your mental health and well-being. Say no to people and do what is best for you.
6. Financially Savvy
Do you feel like you are good with your finances? These books can help you learn all the things you need to know about finances… especially if you are a beginner.
It’s become more and more apparent that financial advice and skills aren’t being taugh in schools, so it really is up to you to find the resources that you need to become an expert in something that we all use.
Even though we all use money in some way, it’s baffling to think that people don’t know how to use it wisely.

Do all successful women encourage other women? I’m not sure if this is true, but I’d like to think that when people make it to the top, they reach back out and help others in need.
